Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test

An assessment of immediate memory and verbal learning. Participants are given three trials to recall as many words as possible from a list of fifteen unrelated words. After a 5-25 minute delay, participants are asked to freely recall as many of the 15 words as they can.

Oral Symbol Digit Test

An assessment of processing speed. Per the key at the top of the page, participants are asked to orally call out the number that corresponds to each symbol in a grid.

Picture Vocabulary Test

An assessment of receptive vocabulary administered in a computer-adaptive test (CAT) format. Participants must choose which of four pictures best represents a word presented via audio.

Picture Sequence Memory Test

An assessment of episodic memory. Participants are shown a number of activities, and then asked to reproduce the sequence of pictures as it was presented to them.

9-Hole Pegboard Dexterity Test

An assessment of fine motor dexterity. Participants are asked to place 9 pegs into a board with 9 holes, then remove them as quickly as possible, one hand at a time.

2-Minute Walk Endurance Test

An assessment of overall physical fitness and endurance. Participants are asked to walk at a normal speed on a flat surface for 2 minutes.
